Catastrophe Support and Response

When you call us we will ask you:

• The nature of the loss/event
• Any special needs you may have – e.g. tarping your roof, temporary accommodation
• Mobile number we can use to contact you – or
• Alternate contact name and number

Helping you through a catastrophe

If your loss is considered a Catastrophe by the Insurance Council of Australia we will assign a Catastrophe Manager within 24 hours to oversee all claims.

Depending on the magnitude or type of catastrophe it may be necessary to set up a Mobile Force in your area.

If a Mobile Force is required one will be set up with suitably qualified people, including Home and Motor Assessors.

In most cases a site visit will be necessary and scheduled as soon as possible. This will be conducted by one of our Home Claims Assessors.

If a high volume of Motor claims are received as a result of a catastrophe (i.e. hail damage), local assessment centres may need to be arranged. Our Motor Assessors will then be able to provide instant assessments for damaged vehicles from one centralised location.
